My Browser Builds (Part 1)

Recommended Posts

MyPal 28.0.1 uses same method as my builds do, so please check if your statement still applies.

Sorry to confirm but, this same Twitter video clip´s audio plays back fine with MyPal, latest version from yesterday, portable installation, but it plays back distorted with your latest build, portable installation too. Just trying to help:

For the distorted sound on the video using New Moon.  I found that User agent was set to 'Native' and just needed to be set to "Firefox Compatibility".

XP with IDM 6.31.3 working in New Moon 28.1.0a1: (Please also check if it works for you)

- First install IDM program. After "Flash and Video Download 2.10".

- "Flash and Video Download 2.10" which is the last update before the WebExtensions version (Firefox +57) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/download-flash-and-video/versions/?page=1

- Hack minimum version of install.rdf to install add-on "Flash and Video Download 2.10" https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/744747/type:attachment/download_flash_and_video-2.10-fx+sm.xpi?src=version-history

No IDM add-on installed. Only IDM program and "Flash and Video Download 2.10" add-on which makes IDM active to detect downloads of videos and other files. Test: http://gamovideo.com/pmdc3vkceor9

Does not work with me: only add extension or add extension IDM integration, not show IDM Download Panel for web player

OS: WinXP hack POSReady (Windows XP Extend build 1808)

I used alternatives: go to Network monitor to find direct link and copy to IDM

The way I understand it, and as has been mentioned in the past, will XP releases of your custom builds include security updates in the future now that Mozilla has ended 52.9.0 and are supposedly no longer coding them in their XP codebase?

Can you also please add this information into the FAQ?

Thanks

Palemoon 28 does not load the swf game page correctly.

Sometimes it is just a colorful narrow strip of swf games.
The problem occurs in the last few versions.

this bug should go upstream

Related to your question, an MSFN user commented at the above (URL).

To repeat (more of less), ROYTAM does use his EXPERT skills to update NM28XP and BK52XP Browsers with SECURITY UPDATES as seem appropriate to him. And BK55XP is also updated, but less often. Here, I use NM28XP and BK55XP Browsers as needed. The JAVASCRIPT engine in BK55 is BETTER (more accurate) than NM28 (obviously).

So, run an ANTI-VIRUS software on FULL POWER FILE SCAN say every two weeks, seems like you should be okay.

NOT really clear to me that ROYTAM needs to give more explanation of what (in general) he does it. On the other hand, I can see where someone might see it differently.

even if your browser is up to date the hackers do have more ways to infect your computer or stole your passwords.

I myself don't run any anti virus, when I feel something goes bad or the PC is getting slow I do an anti-malware cheking to detele unwanted ''bugs''
