Here's a good argument for when someone says Windows NT 5 is not safe.

Can't believe how mainstream people believe older operating systems are more vulnerable than the ones now xD

Even the latest viruses often won't work on a fresh SP3 install because the developer is too lazy to make it XP compatible! A single missing dependency negates the "hard work" of these developers ;)
I'll never forget the day launching 50+ viruses on W2K, without a single one working :3

My recommendation for XP users:-
*Apply Posready 2009 update tricks . XP sp3 and posready2009 uses same kernel so there is no problem
*Install hitman pro alert from surfright
*Install any good AV like Avast Free
 *Forget about hackers and viruses

The WHOLE point is actually to be VERY, VERY aware both of the existence of the bad guys and of the fact that NO antivirus, NOR any other program provides any kind of failproof protection.

Everyone should be ALWAYS very careful when dealing with ANYTHING coming from the outside, particularly with e-mails and their attachments, no matter which (good or bad) antivirus or other security program is running.
