hmm, this appears to be 7/8:

The systray area looks kinda like Luna, but the start button? the icons don't really look like XP to me either.

Or he is just proficient at skinning XP.

He always seemed like a win2k guy to me.

Anyway I saw XP in a dry cleaner's shop on Friday, located in one of the halls leading out of Central Station in Montreal. As it was the evening rush hour things were moving along briskly so I couldn't take a photo.

Apparently Vlad' isn't too worried about hacking.

Vladimir Putin reportedly runs an outdated version of Windows on his computer, which is vulnerable to hacking

It's not Windows XP.

If any version of windows, that thick taskbar, and the small, non-green start button would say that it's Windows 7 (Windows Basic theme)
But its probably not windows.

Apparently some unnamed russian internet offical has confirmed it to be XP, but it sure doesnt look like it. I’m not convinced.

you can make W7 look like XP with special visual themes and viceversa.

another alternative is Linux with XP UI. https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=linuxxp

Cinemas generally require a DCP which is generally a motion JPEG 2000 (based on the Wavelet transform), XYZ 4:4:4 12bit at either 24 or 25fps. They generally run on "standalone" isolated Linux systems only shared within their closed intranet system where movies are ingested and ready to play.

(For those who are curious, here's my experience back when I encoded my very first movie https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=177174 )

That apple software update thingy always nagged on my mother's computer. With XP and now 8.1...

But yeah, that would go well with this Christmas installation over here:

I have no idea why they picked those two letters.

And for more evidence that Windows XP dominated Christmas 2019:

As QuickTime for windows have some nasty security bugs and is not updated for more than 3 years by Apple, I recommend to replace it with "anything" modern. VLC is an obvious choice.

I was back in northern Italy and I stumbled on this:

Apparently, someone tried to remotely reboot this train ticket machine, but it got stuck on "You can now turn off your computer" because of missing ACPI drivers, which is weird considering that it's an embedded machine. Anyway, this just shows that in 2020 Windows XP is still very much alive all over the world.

Dunno, really, but I think it's pretty old. I'm not from that area, so I can't tell... They "recently" (2017 I think) changed the device on the right with a modern one to support contactless cards, though.
