I was able to install all of the Server 2008 October 2017 updates on my Vista Ultimate x64 system with no issues. The update process on a VM is slightly more interminable than non-virtualised, so anything that can hasten the process early on is invaluable. And BTW, many thanks for maintaining this repository on Mega!

Individual updates install just fine. The problem occurs when running Windows Update. It takes forever to find updates, unless you install the latest IE cumulative update and a few other updates... 1
