Are there any patched versions of steam for windows xp?

I think the most recent working build of Steam is from November 26, 2018. Even then, it requires that you keep your root certificates updated and importing converted (with PackageInfoConverter) versions of packageinfo.vdf from a current version of Steam.

Moderators, there are software that STILL supports Windows XP. My messages are about these software, So, to call that "latest version" I suppose is not correctly.

If you take the title of this thread so precisely, then your posts are logically off-topic. But as far as I can see, programs are also posted here that are still Windows XP compatible. :whistle:

But to be on-topic I have found a web site of Tracker Software containing the "latest" versions of their programs PDF-XChange Editor and Editor, PDF-XChange Standard Printer, PDF-Tools and PDF-XChange PRO. All programs are version 7.0.328.2. Version 8 and higher do not support Windows XP anymore. Here is the link: https://www.tracker-software.com/knowledgebase/399-Microsoft-has-Ended-Support-for-Windows-XP:thumbup

Kind regards, AstroSkipper

I suppose we should make a difference betwenen "last" and "latest". Latest Firefox is 90+ version. Last version for Windows XP is 52. I understand it so.

"Last" would imply that there will never be any subsequent version of the software which will still run on XP, which is not always going to be the case of course.
I think "latest" is the best term to use, as it is now, even though the interpretation of "latest" can vary of course.

Is there any program that can convert dvds to mp4 and runs on XP?

Of course, a lot. My recommendation is the freeware XMedia Recode for Windows XP SP3. This is the last release for Windows XP: https://www.xmedia-recode.de/en/download_xp.php
More recent versions are not XP-compatible. Another option is WinX DVD Ripper Platinum. Here is a giveaway link: https://www.winxdvd.com/giveaway/dvd-ripper-holiday-giveaway.htm. Additionally you can use AnyDVD if you have problems while converting, but you have to use Google for getting a link, and it's commercial software. Hope it'll be what you are looking for. :)

PotPlayer may no longer be updated to support XP (their download page still says it's also for XP!), but Extension\Media\PlayParse\MediaPlayParse - YouTube.as file is usable with the older XP compatible version and may be extracted from the installer using 7-Zip. The old parser of early 2021 is unable to stomach YouTube of 2022 as expected.

Hello everyone, I need some help in finding the last version of Daemon-Tools Lite that supports Windows XP and Vista. It is 10.2 according to official Daemon site. However, I could not find it on the web and while searching, some sketchy sites show up. If one of you could ever find it, I would be greatful along with people who could not it, too. Thank you.

Hi, is there any file sync desktop software for XP., working and stable? In depth;

I have Amazon Drive but i can't install AmazonPhotosSetup.exe to my XP SP3 OS. High probably they stopped support for XP as usual.

I have Google Drive but i can't install Google Drive Desktop. I already know, they've stopped support for XP. That software requests Win7 as minimum. (Btw, i tried fcwin2k but honestly i can't success with it. I'm a newbie on these.)

My wish is a basic software which give me ability of manage my online cloud storage from my desktop easily. For example i have Photo1.jgpe on Google Drive and want to copy that to Amazon Drive etc. Or creating new folders, deleting them etc..)

I have make some research but can't sure which is good for me and common for my purpose. i.e sync.com claims their paid service and software working for XP but can't sure and trust. If anyone could give some mentor i'll glad. Thank you.

@user57

A new SumatraPDF version was just released. (version 3.4.1) It contains some nice new features. I hope you will consider making a build. Maybe wait a couple weeks before doing so so that you are sure 3.4.x branch got stable.

Somebody from another forum has release an unofficial build of OpenVPN 2.5.4 for XP on Sourceforge:

Nice find. Note, though, that the official release of tightvnc works with XP, last I tried.
