Strange desktop in Win10?

Recommended Posts

This Asus laptop is not mine, but it has a strange UI.
Is this Desktop type normal for Win10?

All programs are basically hidden, and I can only use\add apps.
Same for the application bar and the Start Menu.
Some common links have also been moved in a submenu accessible from an icon at the top.

Also, sometimes, due to various errors, a normal desktop appears instead of this O_o

WTF?

Yes, I think it's using Tablet Mode, though I may be wrong... Go to the Settings App and see if Tablet Mode is enabled.

Thank you for the replies, I'll check the setting next time. :)

Btw, Win10 applied that Tablet Mode automatically after the upgrade..

What size screen is on that notebook? I wonder if it is a small screen, if it switched to that mode because of it. I've been testing a notebook with a 14" screen and the default Windows view is too big for it. For example, if you open Settings, the button items are cut off and you get a scroll bar.
