trainee
After using the new gui version (haven't tried the commandline version), I recieve an error for WINNTBBU.DLL during TEXTMODE installation (slipstreamed SP2 RTW). I have successfully used modifype.exe to get past the problem but I was wondering if anyone else was having the problem and if there was a known fix (besides modifype). Thanks. And Thanks SCP for the program.
eirogge
this is no error or something as the checksum of the file changes if you modify the bits and bytes in it. windows setup calculates the checksum of each file and compares it to the value which is saved inside each file.if you dont use modifype -c, this value isnt equal to the checksum of the file which will be calculated by windows setup and it will give you an error. this is important in cases of corrupted files produced by defected hard- or software as those files could harm your system.
