System Mechanic Classic v16.0.0.10 ($$$CS)

System Mechanic Professional Classic v15.5.0.61 ($$$CS)

These are currently listed as the last versions for vanilla Vista. (This is not an extended kernel thread.)

For me so far the best for browsing is the Kafan Mini-Browser and the best antivirus is the WiseVector StopX
KM player still supports Vista

Welcome back to MSFN shelby! Kafan Mini-Browser and WiseVector StopX (and Avast) are already listed on page 1 of this thread, but not KMPlayer. Looks like it does support Vista, but sounds like it might be adware?

is kaspersky on the list? Ive used that one time and it seemed to work pretty well even on xp (that was also several years ago so that could of changed) if its not it would be good to add to the list

There is a reason it's not, 'cause it's just plain KGB spyware. It would be suicidal to use it and very dangerous to suggest it to the others.

Yes, Kaspersky is listed on page 1 of this thread. Members interested in vanilla Vista should consult the list! That’s why the OP created it, and that’s why this thread exists. Opinions of Kaspersky vary. I never used it, but at last report VistaLover was using it on vanilla Vista x86. (This is NOT an extended kernel thread, but winvispixp has reported success with Kaspersky.)
