Aero Glass BETA #506

So there is the first beta version intended for testing. Archive includes both 32bit and 64bit library. Just rename required version to DWMGlass.dll.

Since the last experimental version, it contains many fixes to DWM internal structures and pointers and automatic theme layout remapping for TH2.

Currently, it needs to be tested on Win10 TH2, Win10 TH1 and Win8.1, then we can think about entering the ready-to-release phase.

Works great on 10586. However, on Modern App titlebars, it's a bit smaller than usual. here is what I mean. The text and buttons aren't taking advantage of all the space. (If it's too small, here is a link http://i65.tinypic.com/23qrde.png

Here is same page on mine.  Perhaps it is your themeatlas causing issues.

Where did you find the theme atlas with those caption buttons?

iweksler: do I understand that this happens only with that dock application? Is this application free and is it possible to download it somewhere?

This is what he uses. It has a free version and a paid version.

And any special settings? I tried to install and I don't see any problem.

Using the latest beta build with vanilla theme, I (like many probably) notice a difference between window title colours between applications. Explorer having a black title, while Windows Media Player, the Command Prompt have a nicely fitting white caption. Is there any known way of changing this or any prospect of such functionality?

At this point I've lost track of the rules about whether modern apps or ribbon-enabled applications or applications not presently active will have colored titles, but I do know that with UxThemeSignatureBypass DLLs in and having used the Aero Glass GUI that everything seems right:

I use AeroGlassGUI to change title text colour and I don't use UxThemeSignatureBypass

I don't think that you will get color captions on Modern Apps if you don't use UxThemeSignatureBypass.

You are right. I never noticed that

Guys, the instability happens only for multiple monitors, When I switch to single monitor mode everything is rock stable - with or without Nexus. With two monitors it becomes unstable, the instability becoming significantly worse with Nexus. I have two monitors: 1 - 1920x1080 2 - 1600x1200.

My configuration of Nexus:

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=3622EFE518296C3!442&authkey=!ACguqP_lagIHdok&ithint=folder%2c

After some experimenting I observed the following phenomenon: after the display settings are redefined to one monitor the things get stabilized after a minute. Then when I go back to two monitors - everything remains stable. So far, the instability doesn't return.

These are my observations, which are pretty dumb (intentionally) since I don't know how the program works... Hope this helps.

interesting picture - i agree with all of that and also get white text on all the window captions as i have set it apart from Windows live mail - i used to but cannot work out how - custom themes are not working so like the text size on the modern frame caption - which i enlarged via a theme i need to check if that one black title comes from there - need to boot a system with 10240

Thanks for your information. Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this problem.

I had Classic Shell on 10240 build to enable blur on the taskbar,

After 10586 update classic shell is not running but taskbar is blurred

- is it an Aeroglass dev build 491 feature, Classic Shell update bug or random Microsoft experiment that enables blur on the taskbar in my 10586 build now?
