Flasche Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Aura M4 or Doscore I came across this interesting OS today (somehow missing this reply god knows how long ago XD http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/171457-dos-based-oses/?p=1101211).It is a hybrid kernel os (Freedos 1.1 and the Aura GUI) whose goal is to give a modern gui feeling to good old dos. (I don't know why I put the horizontal lines ) Here is a link to the projects website http://doscore.net/doscore_2008-2015/dosc0re_-_Aura_M4_-_Blacksanta.htmlproject description (from website): Welcome to the doscore home page. Here you will find resources and information about the FreeDOS based distribution and the Aura GUI built by Chase Finn and Chelson Aitcheson based on the Ozone GUI code. This software is freeware/open-source and is available on sourceforge. some parts of the code are not open-source but the base of the code is GPL derived from Ozone GUI. OzoneOur goal is to have a modern feeling Graphical user interface that utilizes internet applications, connectivity, file-sharing and dos server functions. Some 3rd Party applications are bundled (mostly freeware projects) and some other official FreeDOS tools to help you deal with daily tasks.
