shelter
Here's the screenshot of the taskbar.I guess it is the same problem as with the Win8.1 login screen - all solid-color surfaces are currently initialized as glass region to be sure that the glass effect works even when DWM is not compatible. Race condition? Like I said, dev builds didn't do this afaik.
NoelC
OK, in my case I needed to update my firewall settings to allow the Aero Glass software (running in DWM) to contact Microsoft to get the symbols. dhjohns
I am able to remove all the borders with the layout file parameters from around a window, say Windows Explorer EXCEPT for the very small white line across the top. Any ideas on how to get that to go away?
Blonk
Could you provide a download link to symbols, I get error mismatched or not found. I had this error first of all, reinstalling debugging tools seemed to fix it. It looks like from NoelC's post that aeroglass is trying to update the symbols but the firewall is preventing it so it might be worth turning off the firewall for a very short period whilst letting aeroglass do the update, or reconfiguring the firewall to allow aeroglass. I haven't tried it but endbase also suggested resintalling aeroglass which also seemed to fix it.

Blonk
Probably no symbols for 10532. I am on 10240 so my symbols wouldn't help Has anyone else had any success updating symbols (either directly from winaero or by another means) for build 10532? bigmuscle
Is it really so incomprehensible that this software has been designed for Win8.1 RTM (6.3.9600) and Win10 RTM (10.0.10240) and not any preview betaversion?
endbase
I think the statement of BM is loud and clear about that the software is designed for 8+ windows 10 RTM but I know if you run beta software from MS You just keep on hoping that everything will work !! But the reality is that is not the case !! So stay away from Insiders builds and be happy or choose for Insiders build but do not be surprised that some things won't work ! Enjoy the day Base
