Glad you have confirmed everything is right again. I still think a large part of it had to do with something in the 'ocean' or some signals coming out of the Bermuda Triangle.

If only Captain Nemo were still here ... he had a great understanding of the ocean and it's mysteries !!!

Flash plugin V26 (NPAPI) is a crash fest on my Opera Presto (12.18) on Windows 7, I cant imagine that it would be anything else on lower OS.

Just replaced the file with V25 and no problems again.

Just FIY.

I do not use Opera as a primary browser, so I cannot comment. Would 12.18 work with the PPAPI plugin instead?

You may find this link interesting: http://forums.opera.com/discussion/1870896/opera-12-18/p1

I typically use Chrome and Firefox, and IE 8 to a lesser degree.

It is definitely Flash. Opera worked fine for years, I just regularly updated the plugin (replaced NPSWF32.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\program\plugins\). Now, when I did that with flash 26.0.0.133, there were few days of crashes. I reverted to 25.0.0.171 and not a crash since. I can't think of a better proof that it's Flash.

Isn't 26.0.0.133 beta? Try the released version, 26.0.0.131, and see if it works OK.

Hmm... don't know then. It looks like you're running a 64-bit OS, but if it's the 32-bit version of Opera 12.18 (build 1872), it should still work.

The only other difference I see is that I let the Flash installer install the latest versions, so my Flash ended up at C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_26_0_0_131.dll (yours would end up at C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_26_0_0_131.dll) instead of in C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\program\plugins. The advantage is, it can be shared by Opera and Firefox. Can't imagine why installing it in the Opera folder might cause a crash though.

I've been posting the beta updates so that anyone can go in and test for compatibility with their individual system. It seems that the major releases are the most likely to have something broken, less so the minor point releases.

I myself have been testing the beta to ensure continued compatibility. It was with the first beta version 26.0.0.89 that I discovered Adobe broke compatibility with Flash Player 26. By reporting this to them, they were able to reproduce the bug on their XP systems, and they fixed it in the next weekly beta 26.0.0.102.

Although many software developers still actively support Windows XP, it seems clear that they don't entirely check for compatibility, or do regression testing to make sure nothing broke! They only have so many man-hours, and if we don't tell them, they can't fix it!

In my case when trying to watch videos ( site : http://www.watchfree.to/tv-2a2cf8-Dark-Matter-tv-show-online-free-putlocker.html/season-3-episode-1 )
even though videos load without any problems I get that spinning wheel in the centre of the screen throughout the movie. This is also true for the all the direct links except Vidtz TV. On other sites such as https://solarmoviez.to/ or you tube etc.. I even tested porn sites everything is ok. This problem applies to firefox ESR, opera 36 and sea monkey where I have got the latest version of adobe installed. When I use google chrome latest for xp  adobe 21 if not mistaken, movies play normally without the irritating spinning wheel.
Everything was running smoothly for all browsers at least 3 days ago. I really do not know what could possibly cause that. Any ideas ?

For your information the site that I got the aforementioned niggle Video Js flash component V5.1.0 is used while on the solar movie the component used is version 7. But then again it does not make any sense since everything was ok three days ago.

I trust this is the right thread to post this. If not, please accept my apologies.

PS : I have not installed any add ons recently.

Thank you
