I use custom Windows icons and have just updated to SIB 2.8.7 and see that in unlike previous versions of SIB that my All Programs icons are now the standard Windows yellow folder icons and not the custom folder icons I have installed, yet in the SIB Configurations my custom icons are displayed .......

Is this just a bug ? Because I am hearing things of user having to modify SIB .dll's in order to have their custom icons shown in All Programs.

Which files are you reshacking?

Imageres.dll.mun / Imageres.dll.mui / Imageres.dll?

Most people should be using the mun files as that is where the bulk of the icons are located now

@Tihiy Is there any chance you could fix the toolbar context menu for the classic context menu option, I did request this a long time ago but with dark mode you would have noticed that this now effects your default included styles as well and not just custom themes.

Imageres.dll.mun with 1903

I do not see what adds the icons in the SIB dll with the 2.8.7
The best is as the old version (2.8.6, eg)

Hello everyone,

I am currently using StartIsBack with the default Windows10 Start Menu + transparent task bar.
The thing is that with default W10 Menu, I can't change it's color and transparency setting from StartisBack... (the option is greyed and changes nothing)

I wanted to know if there is a solution to change it ?
I am trying to get a classic Windows 10 start menu with :
- full-screen setting disabled
- transparency enable like in Full-screen setting

.... could not find any solution from now on..!

Thanks for your support,

Dan

Can you make the left side ("pane") wider like you can in Classic Shell?  I like this because some of the programs I install have long folder names.  Plus, it's just nice being able to resize the width of the menu.

Also, the StartisBack website says for Windows 10 it can "Reduce OS resource usage".  Is this still the case in 1903 now that the native start menu is a separate process?  ...will the StartMenuExperienceHost.ex process still run?

Thanks.
