Thanks for the ModernFrame.dll.

It's working very well so far.

How does appinit work when used with modernframe, does it inject modernframe into every single process?

Yes.  Presumably it notices when it's being run by just the right one and does its magic there only.

Thanks bigmuscle! I do have a question though you said

* ApplicationFrame.pdb symbols are needed - use dbghelp.dll and symsrv.dll from Aero Glass installation

I'm not exactly sure how to do this part :/

Basically, put it in the same folder as Aero Glass, where you have dbghelp.dll and symsrv.dll already.  The symbols will be downloaded automatically.

Can't wait for the final Aero Glass build!

Since Aero Glass caused me to reset my system, I guess I'll have to stand by the sidelines.

Then again, I did install OldNewExplorer to the system. Guess that tells you my incompetence on newer OSes.

!!! EXPERIMENTAL TESTING BUILD ONLY - DO NOT USE ON YOUR PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT !!!

This is a stability-testing debug build for 10240.

It contains some internal changes, new features etc. but it is not fully finalized yet so I don't describe it now. The only intention is to test the stability now.

(Win8-like atlas theme is distributed with it)

10240.jpg

Your donation does not turn any preview/alpha/beta/rc testing version into the full usable release without debugging means!

!!! EXPERIMENTAL TESTING BUILD ONLY - DO NOT USE ON YOUR PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT !!!

Awesome BM, If Microsuck doesn't want to bring back the Aero Glass, Thick Border and Text with Glow to Windows 10, this is the only solution, I really liked the Windows 8 DP/RP/CP Aero Glass, Square and smooth glassy look, nice thick borders and text glow, thats all I could ask for.

At least we can tell which window is active and which is inactive now..

BTW, The reason why XAML Elements (Action Center, Jump View, Start Menu, Tray Flow out) Get those borders is the same result as using a theme with borders more than 1 PX, It seems that they originally have borders around 1 PX though its transparent and unnoticeable. Maybe they intended to bring back Aero Glass one way or another?

There is definitely an issue with triple monitor setups.  Everything is just fine on screens 1 and 2, but everything displays artifacts on screen 3 in glass enabled areas when hovering over caption buttons etc...

If you need any debug info from me to diagnose the issue let me know.

I always thought it interesting that I can make the command window totally transparent.  The whole thing, and its opacity is adjustable, too.

well I think w10 aero works pretty epic (including edge) but I found a funny bug:

Not seeing a bug...  Maybe I'm just tired.  Point it out please?

Edit:  Never mind.  I see you have a window in the middle without a translucent top part.  I got so used to seeing that when we didn't have a working ModernFrame I learned to ignore it.

Yea, I didn't see it either until you just pointed it out.  I was able to recreate that.
