There are too many difficulties with language translation to try to read ANYTHING between the lines and extract some kind of subtle message there.  Just read it just as it was written: 

 

If you have a show-stopping problem, please say it so that it can be fixed before release.

 

It's entirely possible Big Muscle is working on an update to fix MrGrim's problem at this point.  Let the man work!

that's why this is a version beta and it has not been releas, useless to complain, made like everyone , wait.or equip yourself from 64-bit windows.

IF modern frame will work on 32-bit system after initial public, then of course there is nothing to complain.

I've no particular issues with FF 40.0.2.

However I don't use default theme, but Brushed Metal XP. It simply uses "gray" on tabs/sidebar/controls.

On GlassMyFox, I've aero for address bar, bookmark bar and status bar (some other glass could or not lead to problems with extensions - no a dwm problem after all).

Sometimes it slows down, but it is an issue related to scripts; no dwm problem :)

Streaming videos works better with hardware acceleration disabled (on options) and webgl on false (about:config)

Hey BigMuscle, I found what I think is a small glitch in the files you're delivering in the package:

 

I don't know if it's intentional, but there are entries in your win8rp.png.layout file that are duplicated.  Some are in there as many as 4 times.  Compare a sorted version with a sorted version that's had duplicates removed (e.g., sort vs. sort -u) to see them:

by the way is there any decription on how a layout file works, as in what to set to get it looking like you want?

 

by the way the notif emails in this forum really should exclude spoilers, for a lot of reasons...

I know about this. The layout file has been generated quickly by DWM without additional change.

The "spooky" Aero Glass watermark under the start menu and action center seems to be fixed. I don't see it anymore.

 

Firefox 43.0a1 Nightly is not being handled by Aero Glass properly, the entire window border is grey instead of transparent, it's been like this for a while.

I checked in Windows 7 and it's not grey when using that but maybe it's a Windows 10 thing, the developer theme actually looks better in Windows 10 then Windows 7 (reminds me a bit of Edge).

 

Btw, I saw (a bit late) that Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10525 is out, haven't tried it tho'.

Anyone know if Aero Glass works with that?

To have aeroglass on firefox title bar etc. Use a addon called "GlassMyFox". Also AeroGlass works on Build 10525 but no symbols is available

Issue with non-transparent Firefox titlebar has already been discussed here. Firefox developers decided that their browser shall share the same design as Windows 10. I've just been thinking of a (probably) doable idea: a "lite" version of Glass8 without the glass part. Hear me out here. In addition to Aero Glass, Glass8 provides enhancements like:

  • Custom theme aliases without a custom theme
  • Restoration of caption glow like in 7/8.0
  • Fixes for Win10-specific bugs (inactive frames deflated by 1px, etc.)
  • Resizing of caption buttons independent of title height
  • More that I missed (probably)
It'd be nice for people who just want these features without the glass part (some themes look better without glass, but need the fixed Glass8 provides to work) to have a stripped-down version of Glass8 without the Glass. It'd also be nice if this version was the "free" version (ie. no "please donate" nags) since there's no glass, but provides the fixes that Glass8 does. It'd be a great resource for themers like myself.

I know you're busy with getting the Win10 bugs taken care of, but it's just a simple concept I thought I'd throw out there so you could maybe mull it around in your head a bit. I'm no developer, and I'm well aware how long software like this takes to perfect.
