This field is required
Hey, found a way to blur the taskbar using the newest beta of AeroGlass 1.3.2 on Win 10 Build 10240.16405.150725completely and permanently without any error. It's the little tool Taskbar Blur Toggle 0.2.0 by DBlake1 for Win7. http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170245-i-figured-out-how-to-remove-the-blur-from-the-taskbar/ Just run it, click on enable blur and everything works! You can also use the included shortcut to enable itand put it into the autorun folder to run it when windows starts up. Maybe you can ask this user to get help to natively blur the taskbar in AeroGlass for Win10.(or you just decompile the file and have a look inside.greetings Edited August 5, 2015 by This field is required
NoelC
You can restore theme borders without FrameMargin. In this new version of Aero Glass, bigmuscle implemented a layout file (you'd have your atlas.png and this new atlas.png.layout) that supports adding an actual border back. An example of this is in the win8cp atlas provided by BM. Thanks, it's on my long list of things to look into. -Noel
Gwardinen
I'm having some difficulty with this on my new Windows 10 installation. I used the default schedule.bat script, and also added ModernFrame.dll to the AppInit DLLs in the registry. Initially upon first reboot my title bars and such were transparent, but then they reverted to the solid colours of Windows 10, and even after restarting they remain solid. Does anyone have a quick guess at what might have caused the reversion and how I can counteract it?
Gwardinen
Oh, update to the above problem. I'm getting a command prompt window from ApplicationFrameHost.exe when opening certain OS windows, like settings or the Windows app store. It always contains the following:Modern Application Frame replacementDBGHELP: Symbol Search Path: .;SRV*C:\AeroGlass\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbolsApplicationFrame.dll version 10.0.10240.16384DBGHELP: .\ApplicationFrame.pdb - file not foundDBGHELP: .\dll\ApplicationFrame.pdb - file not foundDBGHELP: .\symbols\dll\ApplicationFrame.pdb - file not foundDBGHELP: ApplicationFrame - public symbols C:\AeroGlass\symbols\ApplicationFrame.pdb\30D41561C9E84F8990B78502060139AC1\ApplicationFrame.pdbSymbols loaded for ApplicationFrame.dll as 3 (#0)It lasts until closed, and briefly shows two more lines when closed but they're gone too quick for me to read. bigmuscle
You either used wrong Aero Glass version or applied some 3rd party tweaker which changed your settings to fully opaque.
Gwardinen
I'm using Aero Glass version 1.3.1 and I don't have any 3rd party tweaks to my opacity that I'm aware of. I have a theme that causes my title bars to be the same colour as the accent setting, but even when switching to the default Windows theme and restarting the problem persists. Sometimes on restart the title bars are transparent, but any time I open a Windows app like mail, store or settings the command prompt window will come up with the output above and everything will become opaque again. If it could be an issue with an opacity setting somewhere, is there any way I can actually check that setting? Beyond that, surely the command prompt is not expected behaviour, what could be causing that?

Blackbird256
How to make that the adress bar of explorer was affected by AeroGlass, like on screenshot. I could be wrong, but that looks like W7 explorer so maybe that is why it works unlike W8/10 one that has Ribbon interface. This field is required
It's the little tool you can see in the top right corner of the fence.OldNewExplorer Just set everything like I did and is looks like this. As you can see, I also don't have that AeroGlass Debug window in my taskbar or on the screen. For that you can use the little tool "TrayIt". It hides the window into the system tray and then hides the icon of it in the tray. It's still running but you can't see it anymore. edit:Oh and I forgot to say: I removed the folder icons from "This PC" using "ThisPCTweaker" from winaeroand changed the recycle bin icons because that new Win10 icon looks like an ugly Windows 98 icon. Chris123NT
There is definitely an issue with triple monitor setups. Everything is just fine on screens 1 and 2, but everything displays artifacts on screen 3 in glass enabled areas when hovering over caption buttons etc...If you need any debug info from me to diagnose the issue let me know. Yeah, provide your debug.log. But I see it as difficult to catch because it seems that multiple monitors virtualization does not work in Win10 with VMWare. In Win8, I can simulate any number of monitors but it displays error message "Cannot save displays settings" in Win10. Hm, I just tried making Win 10 full screen in VMware then choosing a view that puts it across all 3 monitors here, and it does work across the 3 monitors for me. Kind of slow - really slow actually - in making the transition, but after 15 seconds or so the "device recognized" sound plays and all 3 monitors are controlled by Win 10. I can reproduce the issue also I think... If I hover my mouse over controls just below the title bar on my left monitor (Windows thinks that's monitor number 2 in my case) I can cause some minor visual glitches in the title bars. To be honest they're so subtle I wouldn't have noticed them. I don't seem to be able to make it happen on the central monitor or right monitor, just the left one. Here's the whole screen grab: http://Noel.ProDigitalSoftware.com/ForumPosts/Win10/10240/ScreenGrab_08_04_2015_061706.png The following log covers the time where I booted the VM into windowed mode at 1920 x 1200, then switched to full screen (2560 x 1600) then went to 3 monitor mode (4960 x 1600). I don't seem to be able to log off/on in the VM and remain in 3 monitor mode (VMware limitation?), so I can't test a fresh startup at the final resolution. Center and right are always fine. I'll post my debug.log when I get home and repro the issue again.
NoelC
Screens left of center use negative numbers for pixel positions... Hm..... Big Muscle, check your variable types and make sure you didn't make any assumptions about screen coordinates being positive... -Noel
bigmuscle
This is interesting idea which I could check

Big Muscle, check your variable types and make sure you didn't make any assumptions about screen coordinates being positive... -NoelI am not sure is it really left of center or rather, left of primary?
NoelC
Absolutely correct. "Left of primary" is what I meant to say. Thanks for the correction. -Noel
My1
also probably screens above the primary get negative y values, probably
