This sounds like you want to build a warez release. If so, you will not get any help here.

Cheers and Regards

There are certainly other threads for this subject already that have nothing to do with warez. Here is an oldie:

http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/71016-multi-manufacturer-pre-activation/

And some general information about the subject from our Unattend guide.

http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/29/

But if the goals are to... say... take a Dell OS and put it on an HP, well that's a different story.

I recall this was an exciting thread:

http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/158422-how-to-make-windows-xp-pro-sp3-preactivated-cd-with-own-oem-info-for-a/

To be fair ;), the original answer seems to me if not appropriate, corresponding to the question:

To me any sounds a lot like BOTH a Dell and a HP ....

That is not a universal key. It is a Volume License key that was leaked with warez copies of Windows XP. :thumbdown

Which part in Rule #1a:

http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules

1.a This is not a warez site! Links/Requests to warez and/or illegal material (e.g., cracks, serials, etc.) will not be tolerated. Discussion of circumventing WGA/activation/timebombs/license restrictions, use of keygens, or any other illegal activity, including, but not limited to, requests for help where pirated software is being used or being discussed, will also not be tolerated. Offenders may be banned on first violation.

are you having troubles understanding?

A non-enterprise (or if you prefer non-VLK) original CD needs activation or needs to be "cracked" (and this won't be discussed here).

Seems I wasn't over-zealous after all. :)

I don't know. :w00t:

At the time you posted a (blacklisted) VLK key was not in the OP, there was still a (teeny-tiny) possibility that it was a legitimate kind of request, even if it did not sound like that.

The Heart of Gold could have traveled six or seven solar system feeding it to the improbability drive, but still it existed ;).

But the Mythbusters approach is usually sound:

Good :), you choose to "activate by phone", call MS, explain the issue and they will issue a new activation for you:

http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=242370

But still, this has nothing to do with having Windows XP pre-activated (or needng no activation) on *any* computer.

  • 2 months later...

That key is a old volume license corp key, you can add it to your sif file so Windows won't nag you for a key but your version won't be genuine. Then, with XP support ending on April 8, I am sure there will be some good deals to be had..
