BM, i am getting a flashing action where the windows borders go from active to inactive and then back again to active (on my setup that means blue to black to blue). this transpires every few minutes and it is occurring on all open windows ; firefox, explorer, ie, word etc. For the moment that it happens there is also a suspension of keyboard activity as the active window loses focus and then returns...

I am wondering if this could be caused by the aeroglass applet and, if so, what could be done to silence this activity.

many thanks, eric

Paid software maintained by a single person can "die" at any point of time. Why would anyone be interested in it?

Well, since out of your current 10 posts exactly 10 are about or connected to Aeroglass, you should be the one that answers that question.

I presume no progresses on your tool :

Old words from bigmuscle:

But when it comes to usable version, I will release source code too so everyone can help with the future development.

True, I said this. But I also specified later that releasing source code is not needed at all, because many people just showed during the development phase that they are not interested in the help with the development at all.

I must admit that I cannot imagine this now. It would be good to have screenshots, video or something where I could see it.

Dear BM, i have put together a licecap gif that shows the activity i am talking about. Here is the link:

https://app.box.com/s/rgev2s7rbzh0luz7xbrc or here http://bit.ly/1lo9qBQ (animation can not be seen on the box.com page. works in ie and FF)

Essentially the active window seems to be flashing inactive and returning to active. You can see this activity at approx 1:35 into the gif when i was using firefox and at approx 2:55 into the gif when using word. The behavior is idnetical when these windows are made full-screen or if i am using other applications. This is an annoyance because mouse and keyboard input is lost at these moments. From a variety of comments found on an "active window loses focus" i have discovered the dwm does can have this impact. In any case, all counsel is appreciated.

thanks to Jaclaz for Licecap. it did the job

New donation page works fine. Got my keys and finally got rid of the text. Still, I think it's stupid to act as if donors would only donate to support the project, instead of just wanting to have the text removed. If you would really want people to only donate to contribute to the development, you wouldn't have added such an annoying pop-up.

I checked the animated image and I must admit that I don't see any reason why it should be related to DWM/Aero Glass, especially when it is not only rendering problem but even focus is lost.

It's my experience that people very rarely donate just to support the project. In ten years of wpi there has been less than 500 bucks of unsolicited donations. Much less then that....

Back from a trip, I am in front of my workstation again. I used this system remotely via RDP without the slightest glitch for 2 weeks.

I really, really like Aero Glass for Win 8.1. It just works right, and it makes me want to be here using Windows, instead of anywhere else using any other kind of system. Thank you, Big Muscle, for this fine product.
