Kurt_Aust
I ask because I'm trying to install Open Office 3.2.1 with the following command but the file associations won't register and there is no option to do so during a normal install (see first & last post) msiexec /I openofficeorg32.msi REGISTER_ALL_MSO_TYPES=1 /Qr (this works on Windows 2000 with msiexec v3.1) Similarly using the windows installer with the previous version also fails but at least you can select them if you do a normal install msiexec /I openofficeorg24.msi SELECT_WORD=1 SELECT_EXCEL=1 SELECT_POWERPOINT=1 /Qr Or is there perhaps something weird about the syntax required that I'm missing? Kurt_Aust
OK, so this command works msiexec /I openofficeorg32.msi REGISTER_ALL_MSO_TYPES=1 /Qb For some strange reason it doesn't work properly if you use the /Qr switch but works fine if you use the /Qn or /Qb switch, buggered if I understand it
