XtremeMaC Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Hi there this is going to be one hell of a post but its bugging me so anyways :I've a very annoying roommate. he just got more annoying. I hate those aim sounds and he knows that and turns up the volume. I try to study and he listens stupid annoying music etc.. now there are 2 choices.1. I'll kick his a**.2. I'll crash his comp.(so that he won't get any sound out of it)1. would not be a nice idea since I could be thrown out of the school 2. it would be obvious if I disabled the windows audio service, or mute the speakers. so i need something like a reg key or something to delete so that he won't be able to find it or recover it easly...okay this could be handled by talking but after it gets to this level of annoyance I don't like to talk. any help? sorry I'm cruel!
brian Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 This is my view on this issueTampering with someones computer could be tragic !!!!Personally if someone tampered with my computer it would be tragic !!!!!!You could end up with your a** kicked and still have to listen to those aim sounds.Sounds like it is time to work out your differences or get another roommate.
XtremeMaC Posted March 19, 2004 Author Posted March 19, 2004 no its not going to be tragic.i'm not getting my a** kicked over this guy don't worry. there is 1.3 month left in the school, its not an option to change the roommate. if it was my roommate doing this to me he'd get his a** kicked and it would be tragic. but that's not the case.soo any particular reg key?[okay i'm not like this normally, but I wonder what u'd do if u were in my position, there is a guy contantly disturbing u, 100% wanting to get his a** kicked, what are the options?]telling him not to do certain stuff will end up him knowing much about what more things I get annoyed from, therefore more things he can f around with. and he'll be succeding in his disturbance game.ps. I'm trying to live through the remaining portion of the semester. I cannot study like this. So this is definitely mandatory!.
Aaron Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Get your own back, start playing loud music he doesn't like.
XtremeMaC Posted March 19, 2004 Author Posted March 19, 2004 tried, he starts clapping, banging on the desk etc. 1 thing works though having my headset on. but after a while i'll go deaf well anyways, okay thanks for the help... delete the post, looks stupid anyhow, doesn't really matter...
Aaron Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 clapping and banging on the desk? Bit childish for a uni student isn't it? :/
techtype Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Pull the speaker plug (the one that plugs into the sound card) coat it with two heavy coats of clear nail polish. Put it back in. On graduation day, treat him to some nail polish remover.
utln Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Tell him you'll by him a six pack if he does away with the IM sounds.
FthrJACK Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 id just kick his a**, he sounds a bit wierd as it is...Wait till hes fast asleep, THEN start playing loud music he dont like.buy yourself some pep pills and deprive him of sleep for a few nights in a row... Take pictures of him asleep in bed.. pull the covers back.. stick a vibrator up his nose.. etc. Show him a photocopy, tell him if he dosent quit it his little photo shoot makes it all over campus.ill leave it there before i get started...PS: does he have a pet rabit?
