mitchsc
I noticed this over the last few days. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it something my system.Bing takes about 30-60 seconds just to open home page on both of my machines. Google works fine.Same on Firefox and IE.Did a speed test, close to 20/2.3.Thanks... Edited September 23, 2013 by mitchsc

Joseph_sw
probably due to the new Windows 8.1 default search setting that forward windows search term to bing, and feed users with (un)wanted ads.http://community.bingads.microsoft.com/ads/en/bingads/b/blog/archive/2013/07/02/new-search-ad-experiences-within-windows-8-1.aspx Edited September 23, 2013 by Joseph_sw

mitchsc
Thank you Tripredacus.I looked over the settings, and they seem correct, but I'm still not receiving email notifications to replies to posts. This is what I have checked for email under Topics and Posts: Auto follow topics I reply to. Notification frequency: Immediate Notification method to use for replies to followed topics (should this one also be checked for "Notification List"?) ROTS
Microsoft has no or barely any encryption in searches, and works side by side with government officials like IBM. Why do I want to surf BING? If BING is slow, that means your computer is not fast enough to keep up with the Javascript. Just disable Java, and any other features, that loads including images. That will make it faster. Some pages loads FLASH video as well.
