I was searching MS for a XP download and this is what happened....

Removed. I just realized one of my emails addys is visible.

Readded.

It failed because of the extra hyphen between Windows and XP. It should be "WindowsXP" not "Windows-XP". ;)

That's why I only use the KB number when searching. Fewer points of failure.

Google ignores punctuation, so of course it found the term regardless of the errant hyphen. :)

@5eraph, errant hyphen? That's in the frigging filename! Stupid MS-Bing.

EDIT: I removed the hyphen and this was the result.

I usually don't have any trouble with Google ... I type in ...

"XP KB XXXXXXX download" ... and the MS download page is usually always there either first or second.

... maybe I didn't fully understand the conversation, in that case just disregard !
