ryanch94
So I seem to remember a project a while back to create a website to install updates for Windows 98 machines after MS shut down the official one (I don't know if this projects still around, perhaps someone could enlighten me on it). Do you guys reckon there'll be a similar project once XP's update site is eventually retired? It'd be quite useful particularly for those on pre-SP3 machines who don't have access to Windows Update anymore, it could also be used to push 3rd party patches out once the MS support ends. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? I wonder if it would be easier to setup one with only post-SP3 updates. Everyone should be able to get SP3 on to their installation (SP2 for us x64 folk). Would that not be more productive? Why stock all of the original Post-RTM updates when one service pack will take care of that need?
