Yep it is a pain with the pop-ups and ORelio hit the nail on the head from his post #101 , also about my rounded corner theme Kyolic just a theme I made from a few bing papers, seems when I am posting tho it does show rounded corners but non-rounded most time see image below..Here is the Bing theme I am using also.. https://www.yousendit.com/download/UVJpT201Y3l6NFBFdzhUQw

This doesn't seem to be a real round corner. :)

There must be a round corner theme somewhere! No one knows? :}

It's not probably anywhere, just because Win8 does not support it at all - you must use tweak in my utility to apply rounded corners. Else... even if you modify theme texture, Win8 will still colorize whole rectangular area and even if you force Win8 not to colorize it (e.g. color is hardcoded in theme), it won't redraw that missing part of the corner (because the occlusion management will still take whole rectangle).

Here you go mate, just made this one for you, it's pretty much the default aero windows 7 theme with a few tweaks. http://browse.deviantart.com/art/Aero-8-Glow-364494879

I don't install custom themes since it requires system file(s) patching but it looks really nice, good job

You can use UxStyle Core which doesn't require system file changes, it is just a service loaded into memory at startup and is what I use.

I am a purist with my Windows installs so I don't really use any hacked system files to change any icons etc.

Just the rounded corner is good enough for me..smile.gif

Didn't know that, tried UxStyle with your theme and it works well, great job !

The window title buttons are slightly different from windows 7 original ones but that's pleasant to use, now switched to your theme :)

After several hours using it, I found that everything was exactly like in Windows 7 except the title bar buttons.

While analyzing your "Aero Glow v2.msstyles" with reshacker, I found which resource is responsible of title bar and window frames :

reshackers.pngreshackerstream.png

STREAM\986\0 - ORIGINAL : http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/8042/stream986original.png

Worked a few hours in order to improve it :

STREAM\986\0 - MODIFIED : http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/9540/stream986final.png

Here is the final result after placing it back in "Aero Glow v2.msstyles" using ResHacker and applying the theme :

glowafter.png

Feel free to use it in your theme if you want :)

EDIT - Found another little fix to make for the close button glow effect :

glowbefore2.pngglowafter2.png

The glow effect was 1 pixel too large on the left so I fixed that ^^

Here is the updated file : http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/9643/stream986finalclosefix.png

So the UxStyle does not change the .dll then like UltraUXThemePatcher?
