Do a clean boot without any 3rd party tools/services and try to install the updates.I have the basic windows defender bundled with windows 8. Should I disable that, reboot and try again? (How do I clean boot)?EDIT: Partial success I think. That update I think has installed. Still having problems with the store error message though. I am getting a this app wasn't installed view details and that tells me that:Something happened and this app couldn't be installed. Please try again.
