Display adapter has stopped responding

I have been having a video card driver ever since I built my computer three years ago.

I have posted on sites like tomshardware.com (http://www.tomshardw...nding-recovered) but I have never received any help that stops it

My computer will randomly (it sometimes happens multiple times per day or doesn't happen for a week or two) freeze and I'll get the notification that my video driver has stopped responding. It just happened to me twice in less than 15 seconds while playing Starcraft 2, afterwards that game was very sluggish and it felt like the frame rate dropped significantly. Sometimes the game I'm playing will crash so I've been hesitant to play a lot of games that don't save automatically.

Everything on this list has been an upgraded part except for the PSU, Motherboard, and the CPU. I uploaded the latest minidump file that was in my windows folder. I could also upload the file microsoft uses while submitting errors.

Thanks in advance for your time

It's Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. It did this on Windows 7 64 bit as well.

I have used several display drivers. I have tried having windows update the driver as well as downloading it from Sapphire and ATI's websites as well. I am currently on 9.2.0.0

I had a similar problem with an initial install of ATI graphics drivers on a Win 7 64-bit system. I can't remember the exact steps I took to fix it, but I recall having to completely remove every trace of the driver and re-install it from scratch, which solved the issue.

These may or may not help, in case you haven't seen them already.

Thanks, I saw those links already. I tried following all of the instructions and looking at different options but still haven't been able to find anything
