theKramer
Step 2 - removing manuallywith whereisit [application google for it ]capture the mounted dir with whereisitstart deleting here a list what can be deleted1.metro apps from program files2. winsxs\backup dir - *.*3.winsxs\*.inf* [dirs]notice some of the dirs the search will find not related to drivers filesu can delete them but if u can save them4.nls* files all from 1mb and above[u can delete them all im not sure]5. run *.* in dirs IME and Speechadd the files to user list and search from there to whole clgremove all6. remove *prn* folders from driverstore folder only 1mb and above7. remove ttf files from winsxs dir Hi aviv00.I just have a couple of questions. I sysprepped an image where I installed all the latest updates for Windows 8.1. I dont see a backup folder in the winSXS directory. Am I doing something wrong there? I ran disk cleanup before Sysprep and that cleaned the cache, so could that have removed the backup directory also??2. In point 5, above you talk about running *.* in dirs IME and Speech. Does that mean running a search in those folders? Can you explain explain nr5 in more detail, as I dont understand what you mean by "add the files to user list and search from there to whole clg"Your help would be much appreciated :-)Thx.
