Hey all, I'm trying to install Win98 SE on my Emachines W3629 I got part way through the install process and eventually it just freezes. I have edited Win.ini with the following: [386Enh] MaxPhysPage=30000 [vcache] MaxFileCache=393216 I can get into safe mode. When in safe-mode. I've updated a couple of drivers for the hard drive controller with files from intelinf.zip from this site: http://windows98.ic.cz/ I'm open to any help, and am wondering if updating those files was a mistake.
