Straight Power E9 700 Watt" .+12V1 - 18 A / 56 A+12V2 - 18 A / 56 A+12V3 - 22 A / 56 A+12V4 - 22 A / 56 AWay are they wirtting 56A behind every +12V connector? CoffeeFiend Posted July 25, 2012 Share Posted July 25, 2012 It means you can draw 18A max on 12V1 and 12V2 (18A each). And then 22A max on 12V3 and 12V4 (22A each). Outbreaker Posted July 25, 2012 Author Share Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) Thanks.And what if a power supply has "+12V - 70 A" and 4x PCIe connectors? does that mean it doesn't matter how much amperage a single +12V connector uses only that all +12V conncter can not get more then 70 A is that right? CoffeeFiend Posted July 26, 2012 Share Posted July 26, 2012 The PCI-e power connector is limited by whichever rail it's hooked up to, so 18A or 22A in this case. There's no way you could push 70A in one of those anyway, the connectors & wires would melt before that.The 70A is the limit of everything that uses 12V on the entire system. Be it from PCI-e power connectors, hard drive power connectors, CPU via its power connectors or the ATX connector, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
