submix8c
Not sure how Win7 works (have yet to test-install it), but on XP you could Disable System Restore entirely, reboot, Enable System Restore and the Restore Points would be gone (a single new one is created).http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310405This disables it on all drives, not just selected ones.Is there a "Disk Cleanup" utility?HTH Edited June 19, 2012 by submix8c
GrofLuigi
HowMaybe you won't need to take ownership (first part), just add yourself with full control (click "ADD" when you're at the last image, then type your username, or Administrators, or Everyone, then click on the topmost checkbox "full control").GL
cannie
is booting via PE only choice to remove them ?The hidden and not accessible from Windows "System Volume Information" folder collects historical system volume information since the volume was first used.It may be easily deleted using a Linux Live CD or Flash Pendrive file manager to recover a lot of lost disk space. The "System Volume Information" folder will be inmediately rebuilt by Windows at reboot containing current data only.HTH
