Downlading All hotfixes from Windows Udate

Hello Guys.

Since there is no update pack for x64 2k3, I want to get somehow all post-SP2 updates. Is there a way to get all updates from Windows Update? Maybe capturing it during the update?

You could monitor the "%SystemRoot%\SoftwareDistribution\Download" folder if you insist on trying to capture them during the update cycle. But I revert to that only as a last resort. It's easier for me, though more tedious, to download the updates by KB number from the Microsoft Download site.

1 - Install Clean

2 - Go to WU "Custom"

3 - Get the List

4 - Find it in MS.COM and download it (use Downloader to retain the Modified Date)

5 - Install last downloaded oldest-to-newest

6 - Repeat from Step#2 until no more show

7 - Check KB's for whether one superseded another - move supersede to elsewhere

8 - Install Clean

9 - Install "scrubbed of superseded" oldest-to-newest

10 - Go to WU "Custom"

11 - If none show, Done! else (krap!) repeat

12 - Keep track from now on

I miss the enterprise mode of Windows update x.x
What do you mean? "Administrative" selection as in WSUS (i.e. MBSA) or "Microsoft Update Catalog? Many things have changed. MS Update Catalog is entirely different than the old days. MBSA could be downloaded and used BUT the "Modified Dates" will be as-of downloaded.

BTW, you can "disable" Microsoft Update ActiveX (actually "uninstalls" it" to "revert" to Windows Update) by selecting in "Change Settings" to use ONLY "Windows Update".

I do not know if this will help you, but I wrote a VBS script that lists Installed and Not Installed Updates.

The script attempts to provide Links to each update, it not 100%. I posted the full scripts in the Win 7

section. Thread

VBS Script Rename List_Kb.vbs.txt to List_Kb.vbs to make active

Rename List_Kb.vbs.txt

Hta that does the same as the VBS Script but gives a UI to use.

Result of the 5eraph XP64 addon: Corrupted Permision control. It is giving me errors that I do not have acess (administrator) to anything that is inside the Windows Folder. Please take a look at my nLite settings.

Used nLite, and I did integrated a lot of addons, like the 2011 DirectX, and Internet Explorer 8.

Added some custom addons made by myself. I don't think that those can cause this kind-of fail, i've did exectly like 32-bits Windows XP.

Used my real computer for testing. Got a 20gb partition to mess with OSes. My computer do not support 64-bits virtualization mode, but it can run 64-bit code (EM64T from Prescott's Pentium 4)

First of all, I think you should try integrating only the 5eraph's XP x64 update pack and testing it like that (without any other addons and modifications) so it will be clear whether it is the addon to be responsible for the problem.

I'm not seeing access errors, pichorra, when trying your Last Session.ini with only my pack + IE8 and without drivers. Can you post a screenshot?

nLite includes mkisofs and acts as a front end for it. That's what I always use with nLite (with default settings).

wonder if nLite will work on slipstreaming xp pro sp2 and is there any script writing with nLite?
