kumarkumar Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I have Office 2010. Each time I launch Excel, or open an existing file, it tries to access some old file and I get the following error pop up:'D:\abcd.xla' could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct. If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, or deleted. If I press Ok, the pop up goes away and everything works fine after that.Any ideas?
kumarkumar Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Ok. Fixed it.Found a String value called "OPEN" under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\OptionsWhich had "/f "D:\abcd.xla"" under Value data.Deleted OPEN.
