Woomera Posted November 28, 2011 Share Posted November 28, 2011 after couple of system BSOD's i noticed my shortcuts got removed from start menu and under All Programs many of the system default links are gone too.like Snipping tool,Resource monitor,sticky notes.... the files exist under windows folder.anyway i can bring back all the default shortcuts back to All Programs>Start Menu?thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tripredacus Posted November 28, 2011 Share Posted November 28, 2011 Verify that you are still logging into your regular profile. If a profile is corrupted, Windows may automatically log you in using a 'TEMP' profile, in which and profile specific shortcuts may be 'missing'. The TEMP profile is built off the Default profile. An easy way to verify what type of account you are using is to open the Command Prompt (without running as administrator) and see what default folder it puts you in.
