jds
mikroPascal PRO for ARM 2.00, from www.mikroe.com (with KernelEx 4.5.2).After installing the compiler (I chose not to install the optional mikroProg suite and drivers, so I don't know their compatibility), it is necessary to replace the installed 'FTD2XX.dll' file (yeah, that's an interface to FTDI's USB driver; even if you elect not to install the drivers, there's still a dependency on this DLL by the compiler application) with a W98 compatible version from here. Then simply run the compiler in default compatibility mode or some W9X compatibility mode. If you chose an NT compatibility mode, instant crash!BTW, there's a minor nuisance crash (access violation) on exit, but it doesn't seem to affect anything. This is about the newest compiler at this time from MikroElektronika, so the others there are probably also compatible in the same manner, perhaps even more so.Joe. DougB
I could run Sumatra PDF 2.0 by putting an XP ntdll.dll (renamed 9xdll.dll) in the Sumatra folder and hexing the string ntdll.dll to 9xdll.dll in SumatraPDF.exeThis hex-hack worked for me too, except that i had to hex-edit the LibMuPDF.dll file as well -- there's one occurrence of "ntdll.dll" in the LibMuPDF.dll file and two occurrences in the SumatraPDF.exe file. I changed 'em all -- seems to be working fine (KEx v4.5.120). Remember to copy ntdll.dll from WXP to Sumatra's folder and rename it to "9xdll.dll". (Wondering -- would a W2K ntdll.dll work as well?) Thanks loblo! - Doug B.
loblo
Yeah libmupdf.dll must also be hexed if one's using the install version, the portable version which I was using at the time hasn't got any dlls. I am now using the install version as well as I decided to use it as my browser plugin for pdf because of its blazing speed. Glad it's working for you as well. Ok, i anwered my own question -- the ntdll.dll from Windows 2000 Professional SP4 *does* work for SumatraPDF (same procedure as above), and it's file size is a bit smaller than the WXP SP3 version: 2K SP4: 491,792 bytes, v5.0.2195.6685 XP SP3: 706,048 bytes, v5.1.2600.5512On the W2K Pro SP4 installation CD-ROM, ntdll.dll is located in the \I386 folder. Note that SumatraPDF web page states: "Supported OS: Windows 7, Vista, XP." - Doug B.

Giant2011
Hi there. Well seems I have a problem. Every time when I have changed the prefs.js it is changed back to the old value by the settings in a about:config when I start the browser. So when I exit Firefox 10.02 then I get the old value back which I already had changed. And it is difficult for me to use about:config in firefox 10.02. So how can I change prefs.js without it is being changed back to the old value, when Firfox is started and then shutdown ? I will try to find it. Does anyone know what I can do ? Giant2011
Hello, I already found out what my problem was changing prefs.js from firefox. There was a file user.js with changed prefs,js. back. So I removed user,js. And I could change prefs.js without using about:config.
