nike123
I've read that it can be donesomething,by a DC 9V on the firstand the last pins ,though I don't believe Has anyone tried it or somethingsimilar,I've forgoted the password on my 1GB PQ1 cardwhich I setted with my new Nokia C3-01,howcan I do something WITHOUT anydigital device? My USB card reader doesn't even recognize it.I know also that it can be reformatted by some of the Nokia E an N series, can the data be restored after that? allen2
If you can reformat it , then old data should not be recoverable. The specs are there. Also, all sd cards are powered a max 3.6V so putting 9V would most likely kill the card.
jaclaz
I've read that it can be doneWhere? Please choose one:Popular mechanicsDisney's CinderellaA friend told meCannot rememberTechnically, re-formatting does NOT mean "wiping".If ONLY formatting is performed it is likely that data can be recovered. If formatting is done after wiping (as in the case of a "forced access" with no password may do) NO data will be recoverable. But it GREATLY depends on the platform and HOW the password is set. Some SD cards use a file called MMCSTORE, see here:http://www.ehow.com/how_6932377_unlock-micro-sd-card-password.htmland here:http://www.mobiletipstricks.com/how-to-unlock-the-password-protected-memory-card-of-your-mobile-phone/jaclaz Edited June 11, 2011 by jaclaz

Well, ...The line (google translated from bulgarian) reads:I read that can be deleted by submitting 9V voltage of first and last pin.which means that you read about someone else that says he/she read. (this equates to pinpoint the source as "disney's Dumbo", instead )Third hand (completely WRONG ) information.Maybe *someone* read about this kind of thingies:http://gsmserver.com/hardware/mmc_clip.phphttp://www.irda.ru/oborud/SD_MMC_clip.htmand either did not understand about them OR knows MUCH MORE that "the rest of the world" As said before it greatly depends on HOW the password was set and on which platform (you can read the latter as "PHONE"), the card has INHERENTLY a Lock/Unlock feature, and if it has been locked, short of giving it the right password, you can "force erase" it (loosing all data).
