Tripredacus Posted April 15, 2011 Share Posted April 15, 2011 You can initiate a recovery from Windows, if you are having trouble booting into it, by going to Backup and Recovery and choosing Advanced Recovery options in Control Panel. Base.wim is a non-standard image name for use in system recovery, which means that there is an underlying software application that you'll want to figure out before just applying that WIM to your PC.
