risk_reversal
If you have usb1.1 then NUSB 2.x (last I beleive 2.4) will be fine. Version3.x will add software for USB2 controller but if you have a mobo with that has that already installed then v2.4 again will be fine.I only ever use version 2.4 irrespective of whether my mobo has usb 1.1 or 2.0.You might also consider using the winME defragmenter. The items I use are.1. NUBS (it has detected all that I have thrown at it. Cameras, thumb drives, external HDs and USB hub on a Dell monitor)2. WinME defragmenter3. KernelEX (to allow you to run quite a few other progs made for XP)4. RLoew's ram limitation patch (I dual boot 98se & XP with 2gb of ram)other than that I have customised the desktops, icons, etc but all that is merely cosmeticsThe other limitation as has been mentioned is the 137GB HD size. I overcome this by using a third party onboard Promise controller and hence do not have to rely on the 98SE drivers.Good Luck Edited April 10, 2011 by risk_reversal
dencorso
With USB 1.1, the only advantage NUSB 3.3 has over 2.4 is the added support for USB floppies. If that's required, then NUSB 2.4 isn't enough. But NUSB 2.4 + IOSYS98, followed by updating by hand (= substituting) the USBSTOR.INF to the one in NUSB 3.3 (or one of the latter versions, available from the NUSB thread) is another way to add the required USB FDD support.
