Grem41
I looking to get Win98 Gold working with my system with a Netgear USB adapter WG111v3 and a Netgear WG511v2 router for Broadband access with Firefox 3.6.9 After researching the web I downloaded Kernel-Ex4.5-Final, with the associated unicows.exe program that it needed to see before it installed. This I assumed would get me the functionality for the following programs to work.1. WG111v3 drivers version 1.1 from the Netgear Installation CD2. Mozilla Firefox folders copied over from an XP systemI followed this link to the letterhttp://www.metacafe.com/watch/yt-jJrHlwwm5CA/firefox_3_6_runs_on_windows_98_with_kernelex/All I got this error message "The XUL.DLL file is linked to missing export OLEAUT32.DLL :77" when I started Firefox. Also the Netgear CD reported “The Autorun.exe file is linked to missing export WININET.DLL : InternetSetStatusCallbackW”.Any assistance appreciated. Thanks in advance

Steven W
A quick Google Search about the WG511v2 and WG111v3 comes up with the following link:http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/753/related/1http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12962/related/1The advice on those pages mention 98SE (not first edition) and ME.I'd try to get the drivers to function before I'd install KernelEx. If the autorun still stops, try updating it from the Device Manager, pointing it to the proper files, either on the CD where extracted on the hard drive.Updated to include drivers for both devices.
