remush
Is there an advantage to rebooting the computer after every program is installed ?I have a batch file that installs about 12 programs, someone I know has suggested that its best for stability to make alterations to the batch file to make the computer reboot after every install. Glenn9999
Is there an advantage to rebooting the computer after every program is installed ?It depends. For most stuff (99% or so) it doesn't matter, but if you run into something that changes the system substantially and then try to patch it in the next step, it's best to reboot and let the first thing do its business.
