webcheck.dll error

Hi everyone! Today I tried to remove some components from a windows to make it smaller. I must have removed something I shouldn't have because after I installed the Windows and updated it using Windows Update (also installed .NET Framework) I got this error on the next boot:

'Unable to call the function "dllinstall" in the file "C:\WINDOWS\System32\webcheck.dll" because that function does not exist or is not exported'

I wanted to ask you guys if this is a problem and if it is what did I remove that caused it?

BTW the Windows is working OK now and I've noticed no other problems by now.

Viper071, I would say you have a real problem. Have you run nLite more than once against the same source? Did you add SP3? Running nLite under W7 to create an ISO for XP is known to be problematical, especially if you add a Service Pack. Please look in your System Event Log around the time you copied your CD and see if there are any CDPROM errors. I suggest you start fresh removing nothing and install on a virtual system (VMware Player, VirtualPC and VirtualBox are all free.) If you get the errors then your source is suspect. Where did you get your source - hope it is not a torrent download? Do you have a valid key? Enjoy, John.
