QuickTime Codec files only?

These are the only 2 files needed. I don't know about newer versions because I use Win98. You can always test the newer files on a XP machine. I might do it later if I have time. It plays .MOV with no problem. Just drop them in the Windows\System(32) directory

QUICKTIME.QTS 6.5.2.10

i know this is an old thread but i think I have Quicktime going in Firefox, without installing quicktime

what I did was

==============================

In about:config set

plugins.load_appdir_plugins  set to true
---------------------------------------------------

create a folder plugins
======================
place these dll/s in the folder
npqtplugin.dll
npqtplugin2.dll
npqtplugin3.dll
npqtplugin4.dll
npqtplugin5.dll

Put plugins folder into C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser
restart browser

test page http://camendesign.co.uk/code/video_for_everybody/test_qt.html
