BookWorm Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 In Windows 98 & 2000, I can click "customize this folder" and use a wallpaper for the folder. XP doesn't have that option. I heard XP still has active desktop, but Microsoft hid the controls. Where? Did they also hide the folder wallpaper option? Where?
Guest Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 XP has customize this folder. If yours is missing make sure this registry key exists. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers\{ef43ecfe-2ab9-4632-bf21-58909dd177f0}
Tripredacus Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 You can also change the desktop.ini in any folder. I've tried it before and it works but since the desktop.ini can be over-written very easily, sometimes the settings do not stay for very long.
