Strange Windows Update Site. >70 updates missing

After slipstreaming I checked my installation against Windows Update.

WU told me I have >70 missing important/high-priority updates. :o

Some months ago I noticed the same with Microsoft-Update-Site after I checked my office-installation (also slipstreamed to the latest security-patch-level).

What's going on there?

Where did you downloaded the Microsoft Windows Updates for slipstreaming?

Always from MS.

I've tested another installation (from March this year): much less (about 35) updates are shown as missing. Thats ok.

I've asking me why so much updates are shown as missing with the current Windows installation? But it seems that no one has made the same experience and so it's not a prob of the WU-site.

You can check inside your computer all updates installed inside:

%systemdrive%\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\ReportingEvent.log

You can see all the updates installed since March, in your case, for your personnal computer!

Microsoft give new updates Every second Tuesday of the month!

If you are runing with Windows XP, maybe you can use:

Windows XP ENU

I hope that will help you!

Let me suggest something not so funny.

Delete every update or hotfix from your PC (or HF folder), download again from the same list that you have made (even more, get a new source folder).

I get no new updates for spanish (my native language), except does not integrated as .NET 4 nor Windows Live Essentials.

I remember that a long time ago, I've used HFSLIP, but this one works only with Windows English version!

Not more wrong than that.

Works for me (and almost everybody else), Slipstreamed windows XP SP3 Spanish version many times now.
