hello folks,

i tryed many times find solution for BSOD during installing my

Win 2000 Pro SP4 onto my Sony Vaio CW series with

note: as we know many new notebooks from SONY is BIOS totally s***ty

there is no possibility make any advanced settings there

Mobile Intel® PM45 Express Chipset

with

Memory Controller:

Mobile Intel® 82PM45 Memory Controller Hub (MCH)

I/O Controller:

Intel® I/O Controller Hub (ICH9M-B) SATA Controller found in AHCI mode

---this information retrived undre my installed Windows XP PRO SP3---

previous solutions and browsing many tech forums was unsuccessful

now i got my solution for Win 2000 SP4 hehe:-)

1.step

make copy from slipstreamed source of WIN XP SP3 Pro and replace files with WIN 2000 SP4 Pro:

files: ntldr, ntdetect.com

2.step

download this SATA drivers

32bit Intel RST textmode driver v9.6.0.1014 WHQL

---

http://uloz.to/5310496/32bit-intel-rst-textmode-driver-v9.6.0.1014-whql.rar

3.step

download this SATA drivers

32-bit Floppy Configuration Utility for Intel® Matrix Storage Manager version 5.7.0.1011

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/download.aspx?url=/10611/eng/f6flpy32_57.zip&DwnldId=10611〈=eng

---extract this downloaded archive and extract file: temp.IMA via UltraISO

4.step

copy iaStor.sys from step 3. into folder with files from Step.2

---in this case you will replace new iaStor.sys with older file

5.step

integrate drivers via nLITE in TEXTMODE

--you will make these steps:

a) select Drivers (integrate drivers into installation

B) insert multiple driver folder

c) select your folder with replaced file iaStor.sys

d) choose TEXTMODE and select

Intel® ICH-9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller

e) select ok, make next and apply your integrating

6. make boot iso

7. during booting and loading installation cd if you will not press F7

you will get BSOD after pressing F7 acpi mode is disabled and your HD SATA disk is loaded:-))) you can continue with installation

your slipstreamed and customized or what you want .. your WINDOWS 2000 PRO SP4

---

this idea cames that i saw many forums where people asking that during intalling of new ICH I/O Controllers for RAPID STORAGE MATRIX shows

iaStor.sys corrupted

note: official drivers for ICH10, ICH9 are not compatible with Windows 2000 so what i wrote here is my solution how to detect SATA HD on new

notebooks with limited bios for (ICH9M-B) SATA Controller

---

enjoy
