synerluv Posted June 17, 2010 Share Posted June 17, 2010 ok guys i have seen that in DLC windows media center,when i play .wmv files in firefox in direct open wmp and plays movies in wmp,but in others OS(windows like xp,vista,7)we need wmp plug in to play .wmv files that plays .wmv files in firefox webpage,but i want to play .wmv files direct in windows media play,does anyone have idea how we can do this in windows 7 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ldb Posted June 27, 2010 Share Posted June 27, 2010 It is not necessary to disable the plugin. Just go to tools/ Options/ Applications/ scroll down to Windows Media Audio/Video file (video/X-MS-WMV) in the right hand column. Then go over to the left hand column and change it. When you click on it, a arrow with a drop down box will appear. Change it from using the plugin to use WMP (default). I just figured this out yesterday as I also posted this question on another Windows 7 forum and got no answers. I have not needed to change any other of these settings so far.
