allen2 Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 (edited) It could be many things:- the registry file system might be corrupt: to check if it is, copy windows\system32\config\system to a working computer or boot the computer not working with winPE then load the hive with regedit. Then check it visually it should look like your hkey_local_machine\system. If it isn't looking well, you'll need to restore it.- the NTFS partition might have error: to fix it, do a chkdsk with the recovery console with a windows 2003 installation CD.- the file or the path might have been hidden or moved: check if it is still there.Hope this help.
