xboxhaxorz Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I had 2 500GB WD hard drives in my system. I replaced a WD with a Sammy because the 500GB was getting filled. I cloned a disk to disk copy using norton ghost, which i have done numerous times before. Windows loaded extremely slow. I used my dual boot and did a hard drive speed test. I got 3mb ready and 70mb write, i am not sure which the issue is or if the drive is defective or not but something is wrong.
puntoMX Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 If you have still the same data on the WD, I would delete the data on the Samsung and partition it again in windows, following with a format, and test the speed again. To me it looks more like a bad copy or a already messed up drive layout from the WD so Ghost can't handle it well.
