I need a link to the kb976002 Browser Ballot update for Windows 7 x64, if somebody in the UK with Windows 7 x64 got it via Microsoft Update then would it be possible for you to check your %WinDir%\WindowsUpdate.log for a link?

BTW I got the x86 updates for XP and Windows 7 x86 by temporarily using a proxy in the UK, if somebody wants to give that a try I will also be grateful...here is the proxy I used in IE8 -> Internet Options -> Connections (tab) -> LAN settings (then check Microsoft Update) see if kb976002 shows up

May work, but maybe not in VPC, since it sync's to the Host by default/design to prevent "pirating" (AFAIK, VPC does it, not the Time Sync service). Worth a shot...

in VirtualBox you can disable host sync., but the time is irrelevant for the update. The only important thing is the location, which must be inside a country of the EU and you have to set up the IE as your default browser.

I was able to get it by setting my proxy settings to one in UK, in case anybody else wants to give it a go here it is
