PC Randomly Restarts

I recently had similar problems with random BSOD and flaky web browser behavior that ended up being fixed by changing BIOS RAM speed timing settings. Whether your get errors with memtest or not, double check to make sure your BIOS settings are correct for the RAM you are using.

Cheers and Regards

I don't think I have any mmemory dumps, I changed it to minidumps because that seemed more useful to me particularly since I have a poor internet connection and don't want to upload such a big file.

The RAM is 2 x 2GB Kingston DDR2 800 but they are mismatched and have different timings so the bios says that they are 667

OK it appears to have just BSODed on me with

STOP: x000000F4 (0x0000000000000003,OxFFFFFA80047ECAA0,0xFFFFFA80047ECD80,0xFFFFF80001B87240).

Collecting data for crash dump ...

Initializing disk for crash dump ...

Physical memory dump FAILED with status 0xC000009D.

So there should be a minidmp that I can look at and show you right?

Memtest time

Well Memtest had 10 passes and no errors although that was with both sticks of RAM,

I'm guessing that the memory dump didn't get created cause I can't find it.

I'm starting to wonder if I have a software problem and I really regret my laziness I should have actually done some proper partitioning.

The crashdump doesn't sound like its failed this time so hopefully there is a minidump this time

Edit: Can't find it :(, and it's BSODed again that was fast!

STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x0000000000000003,OxFFFFFA800477DB30,0xFFFFFA800477DE10,0xFFFFF80001B95240)

Edit2: And again I think but this time I didn't have display for some reason

Edit3: BSOD Again!!!

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

*** tcpip.sys - Address FFFFF88001879DCB base at FFFFF88001802000, dataStamp 4a5bc26e

Oh and I forgot to mention I do have a gigabit PCI realtek NIC in the box as well.

I think I'm getting a little frustrated

Edit4: SIGHH BSOD

Is a new install a good idea or not?

True I probably should have but I was sure it was a hardware problem for some reason.

Afterall windows installs don't usually have a habit of dying on me, but repartitioning would be a good idea anyway.
