Philco Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Are there any programs that can open docx files under WinME?DOCX open and covert to PDF (support too command line) with docx2rtf (freeware)
Gooberslot Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 That program works but it doesn't preserve most of the formatting. Are there any other options?
M()zart Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 If you want to open it for viewing and have KernelEx installed, you may try TextMaker Viewer 2010 ( http://www.officeviewers.com/ )
Kwibus Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 You can use openoffice 3 it should be able to open docx documents. You do need kernelx to run it.
M()zart Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I have found another small word processor that opens docx files nicely and works even under Windows 95 OSR2. Its PolyEdit ( http://polyedit.com/ ). Very nice, has very much features for its size and requirements. Does not need KernelEx or .NET Framework to run. However tables support is not enough powerful (but present).

supem Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Hi,Recently my favourite one is Word-Reader http://www.word-reader.com/
M()zart Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 It seems that I was wrong about polyedit. I was told that it opens docx only with MS converter, which cannot be installed on Win9x. I'll check it later.
North of Watford Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Alas it needs .NET, but this is what I use:http://katana.oooninja.com/w/odf-converter-integrator
